                                   การแบ่งส่วนตลาด
                             และการเลือกตลาดเป้าหมาย
                               ( การวิเคราะห์ผู้บริโภค )


การแบ่งส่วนตลาด (Market Segmentation) หมายถึง “ กระบวนการ การแบ่งตลาดรวม เป็นตลาดย่อยๆ ซึ่งมีสมาชิก ที่มีลักษณะเหมือนกัน โดยเมื่อแบ่งเป็นส่วนย่อยแล้วจะเห็นความแตกต่างและความหมายในแต่ละส่วนย่อย “




ลักษณะของการแบ่งส่วนตลาดที่ดี
1. ต้องมีขนาดใหญ่เพียงพอ (Substantiality)
2. ต้องสามารถวัดค่าออกมาได้ (Measurability)
3. ต้องสามารถเข้าถึงตลาดได้ (Accessibility) 
4. ต้องมีการตอบสนอง (Responsiveness)
ประโยชน์ของ Segmentation
•         ช่วยในการวิเคราะห์ตลาด (Market Analysis) ทำให้เข้าใจลูกค้ามากขึ้น
•         ช่วยในการเลือกตลาดที่เหมาะกับบริษัท (Market Selection)
•         การจัดการทางการตลาด (Marketing Management) ช่วยในการกำหนดกลยุทธ์ส่วนผสมทางการตลาด และสร้างข้อได้เปรียบทางการแข่งขัน
•         ช่วยให้บริษัทกำหนดเป้าหมายและการลงทุนที่ชัดเจนได้



                      


ตัวแปรในการแบ่งส่วนตลาดผู้บริโภค
1. ตัวแปรทางประชากรศาสตร์ (Demographic variable)
2. ตัวแปรทางภูมิศาสตร์ (Geographic variable)
3. ตัวแปรทางจิตวิทยา (Psychographic variable) 
     3.1 วิถีการดำเนินชีวิต (Life Style) 
     3.2 ลักษณะบุคลิกภาพ (Personality Characteristic
4. ตัวแปรทางพฤติกรรม (Behaviouristic variable)
   
* นักการตลาดส่วนใหญ่เห็นว่าเป็นเกณฑ์ที่เหมาะสมที่สุดในการแบ่งส่วนตลาด
     4.1 ผลประโยชน์ที่ลูกค้าแสวงหา (Benefit sought)
    4.2 อัตราการใช้ (Usage rate)
    4.3 ความซื่อสัตย์ (Brand Loyalty)

             


ปัจจัยที่ใช้ในการประเมินความน่าสนใจ (Attractiveness)
ของแต่ละส่วนตลาด   
  -ขนาดของส่วนตลาด           
     -  อัตราการเจริญเติบโต                     
     -  อัตราความเสี่ยง                  
     -  จำนวนคู่แข่งขัน                 
     -  ผลตอบแทนที่คาดว่าจะได้รับ                    
     -  ทิศทางของส่วนตลาดนั้น


               
               
              










Positioning Bases
•         What are the bases for positioning:
-          Attribute– associate with a product– a feature, customer benefit
-          Price and quality– high may = quality, low may = value
-          Target Stores, low price, high upscale quality
-          Use or application
-          Product User- personality or type of user
-          Product Class- particular category of products
-          Competitor- you vs. competition
•         Usually use more than one base



Market Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning
v Market Segmentation: determining distinct groups of buyers (segments) with different needs, characteristics, or behavior.
v Market Targeting: evaluating each segment’s attractiveness and selecting one or more segments to enter.
v Market Positioning: arranging for a product to occupy a clear, distinctive, and desirable place in the minds of target consumers, relative to competing products.
